Relief to Nepalese in UAE by Century Bank and IME Remit

Two Nepali remittance companies namely IME Remit and Century Bank’s Century Remit have provided aid to Nepalese in trouble in the UAE due to Covid – 19. They assist the needy Nepalese by donating food and basic materials needed for the survival.

IME Remit has handed aid through Nepali organizations involved in relief distribution. IME UAE Chief Utam Basnet informed that IME has provided assistance of NRs 1 Lakh 60,000 (5000 Dirham) to the NRN, Nepali Society and the relief distribution team in Abu Dhabi.

On Sunday 31st May, food items and other available relief materials were handed to Pasang Sherpa, vice-president of the Non-Resident Nepali Association and representatives of the Nepali community in Abu Dhabi.

Krishna Gautam of the service delivery team in Abu Dhabiinformed that the food and other daily necessities were delivered to the affected people who came in contact with the team members.

Similarly, Century Bank has also provided assistance to the Non-Resident Nepali Association UAE. Century Bank has provided relief materials worth Rs 100,000 to the UAE, said Prakash Poudel, UAE head of Century Bank.
