IME Digital along with UKaid Sakchyam Access to Finance Programme has introduced the concept of IME Paisa Card to facilitate banking education and transaction through financial inclusion in Janakpur. The dream project started on the 1st of January, 2020 with an orientation training session for 223 IME Agents of Janakpur. The participants were briefed about POS and micro POS machines. POS machines are placed among the IME Agent counters for the issuance and other transactions of IME Paisa Card to customers. Similarly, Micro POS is handed out to vendors or shopkeepers. The small device or Micro POS receives payment when a customer merely touches the devices with his IME Paisa Card.
For the process of Deployment of POS and micro POS, a total of 26 interns were hired. Each was provided with the training for deployment of devices before being sent out to the field. Initially, 26 interns were placed in agent locations for IME Paisa Card issuance. Gradually, they have been mobilized in the market for deployment and training.
The Head Office team along with the Regional team are being mobilized for device setups. Meanwhile, Deployment and Training teams are visiting the merchant locations for device handover, training and for signing final MOU. After the smooth dispatch of the first batch of devices, a group merchant training was provided to the local merchant of Janakpur cities. As an awareness Campaign of Paisa Card, IME Paisa Card rally was also conducted throughout the cities led by the Training & Development team.
The implementation process of the IME Paisa Card in Janakapur is accelerating as the team has dispatched approximately 600 micro POS to Merchants and 50 POS devices to IME Agents. Furthermore, around 3600 IME Paisa Cards have been issued to the locals of Janakpur.
